We offer Pony Mornings every half term and school holiday for boys and girls aged 4-12. All levels of experience are welcome as the group is split accordingly if required. Children are left with us from 10am-1pm to learn about riding, looking after and handling ponies using our fun, innovative approach. Every child goes home with a certificate and a rosette.
Children have a riding lesson in a small group and the remaining time is spent doing hands on activities and games to learn about horses and how to care for them. Activities include grooming, doing the stables, feeding, tacking up, riding an obstacle course and treasure hunts. We teach using a child friendly active learning approach, with lots of games and inspiring methods.
WHAT DO WE DO?
There are a limited number of places on each morning to ensure quality of tuition and sufficient attention for each participant. We have a high number of staff members to provide an excellent level of supervision and learning support for all ages and levels of experience. The main group is split as required and the riding lesson is usually for just 3 riders at a time.
Pony mornings are a great way to get children exercising in the fresh air with other like minded children. We have seen many friendships develop at our pony mornings. We spend as much time as possible outside, enjoying the freedom of our fields and spending time with the ponies in their natural environment. We even have a specially designed outside learning paddock that the children love to explore.
